Ways to Use Pearled Barley
Add pearl barley grain to soups, stir fries and stews in place of rice for a tasty change. It can also be cooked up as a hot cereal, stirred into salads, or used in stuffing. The mild nutty flavor and tender chewy texture is also wonderful in pilaf or risotto
- Source of Fiber (8g)
- Source of Protein (5g)
- Source of Potassium (1.25 mg)
- Bring to boil 3 parts of water for 1 part of Barley
- Add sprinkle of salt, 1 tsp of organic oil.
- Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 1 to 1/4th hours.
- Let stand 10 minutes before serving.
